Fr. Terry Smith

Fr._SmithHi, everyone!

My name is Fr. Terry Smith, your new parochial vicar. It used to be called associate pastor in the old days. I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you a bit about myself. I have been familiar with The Community of the Good Shepherd for a long time since the days of Frs. Frank Niehaus and John Rea.

I was ordained in 1973. I taught at Mother of Mercy High School from 1973 to 1978. I have been associate pastor at St. Bernard's, Taylor Creek; St. Ignatius, Monfort Heights; and all Saints, Kenwood. I was on the faculty at the Athenaeum of Ohio/Mt. St. Mary's Seminary, and am still adjunct faculty in the field of Sprituality. I was pastor at St. Columban, Loveland for 14 years, and the last six years have been pastor at St. Maximilian Kolbe, Liberty Township.

Fr. Schmitz and I have known each other for a long time. I look forward to ministering with him and the staff here at Good Shepherd. I look forward to being part of this community, as together, we continue to build on the good things accomplished over the years here, and continue to build up the Body of Christ in this area.

I look forward to meeting you.

Take good care,

Fr. Terry
