Parish Pastoral Council

With prayer and discernment, the council advises the pastor and staff in establishing the ministerial priorities and developing annual goals and objectives for the parish.

Active parishioners who are passionate about the well-being of the parish are encouraged to volunteer for membership. Members are selected by lottery drawing each spring. Reliability in following through with commitments is important, as is an ability to work in a spirit of prayer, dialogue, and consensus building.

Good Shepherd's Parish Pastoral Council consists of nine (9) voting members serving for three years on staggered terms. The fiscal year for Pastoral Council begins on July 1 each year.

On Pentecost Sunday, the names of nominees are drawn from a basket. Names of the nominees are retained in case a member is unable to meet his/her Council commitment.
