Shepherd's Care Groups

We work to assist organizations that serve the poor of greater Cincinnati.

Financial support is provided through Shepherd's Care to numerous agencies, including St. Francis Seraph, Habitat for Humanity, and Tender Mercies.

Shepherd's Care
This ministry provides an opportunity to extend the care and resources of Good Shepherd to those in need within our own community and beyond.

Shepherd's Care Christmas Gift-Giving Project
The Christmas gift-giving project is the largest and best known of all of the projects of Shepherd's Care. Volunteers collect, separate and distribute Christmas gifts to over 2,800 individuals through 20 different agencies.

St. Francis School Ministries
St. Francis Seraph School volunteers work in the HOSTS (Help One Student to Succeed) program. Language Arts support is given that pairs a student who needs help with a volunteer mentor.

Whitley City, Kentucky
Volunteers collect and help deliver toys, canned goods and clothing to our "twin" parish - Whitley City Good Shepherd Church, in southwest Kentucky. It is located in one of the ten poorest counties in the country. This ministry is spearheaded by our Senior Shepherds.

Tender Mercies Meal
Preparing and serving a Sunday dinner for 50 plus people in Over-the-Rhine each month. Sign-ups to donate are held the second Sunday of the month with the meal served on the third Sunday.
