Ministries Overview

There's no better way to become connected than becoming involved in one or more of our parish ministries. Good Shepherd has nearly 100 ministries/organizations for parishioners to share their gifts with others while enriching their own lives. Visit each of the ministries/organizations to learn more and find your niche.

Stewardship Ministries

Take a leadership role in the parish by serving on one of our consultative bodies of the Parish Pastoral Council/Finance Commission or help to share our gift sharing message by joining the Good Sense Ministry or Gift Sharing Team.

Education Ministries

Focused on the needs of our children’s religious education, volunteers help lead children and young adults into a deeper relationship with the Lord in a positive, safe, Christian learning environment. Opportunities range from Preschool to Grade 6, and from Junior through Senior High.

Outreach Ministries

Care for the poor and needy, visit the sick, aid the disadvantaged, and promote social justice within and outside the community. Key ministries include St. Vincent de Paul, Shepherd's Care, Caring Hands, and AMOS, but many more opportunities are available.

Social Ministries

Promote fellowship in a Christian environment through Family Life, Young Adult Group, Bridge Group, Athletic Programs, Emporium Crafter, and Senior Shepherds.

Spiritual Enrichment Ministries

Provide opportunities for adults and families to grow in their faith through Bible Study, the Men's Group, Adult Prayer, and Family Life Ministry.

Support Ministries

Provide care, comfort and healing to those with special needs including the bereaved, divorced and separated, married couples, substance abuser and parents of gays and lesbians. Key ministries include Grief Support, Caring Hands and Health.

Worship Ministries

Liturgy, hospitality, and music ministries are essential contributors to the vibrant, inspirational liturgies that we enjoy every weekend. Other ministries support Baptism liturgies, and the cleaning and decorating of the worship space.

Youth Ministries

Work with spiritual, social, and educational needs of Junior and Senior High School teens in the community. A Cub Scout Pack is also available.
