Marriage Ministry

We are a ministry designed to support married couples of all ages as they seek to strengthen their relationships.

MarriageSuccessful marriages don't work on automatic pilot - at least not for long.

For Your Marriage

Check out For Your Marriage: An Initiative of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

“Every marriage matters, because marriage comes from the hand of God. God brings a man and a woman together to love and support each other. Their love becomes visible in the children they bring into the world and in their acts of generous service.”

“In Catholic teaching, the valid marriage between two baptized Christians is also a sacrament. The love between the spouses symbolizes Christ’s love for the church.”

“Many couples consider just two options; his way…her way. But now there is The Third Option. Learn new ways to build the kind of marriage you always wanted to have. Good Shepherd is becoming a partner parish with Montgomery Community Church on Montgomery Road. Meetings are held at MCC every Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. and childcare is available. Good Shepherd parishioners and couples are most welcome to attend at any time; you do not need to register in advance.

A Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend is designed to give married couples the opportunity to examine their lives together… a time to share their feelings, their hopes, disappointments, joys, frustrations… and to do so openly and honestly in a face-to-face, heart-to-heart encounter with the one person they have chosen to live with for the rest of their life.
