55+ Ministry

The mission of the Good Shepherd 55+ Ministry is to design, develop and coordinate programs and support services, in collaboration with other parish ministries and community organizations, and to support the spiritual, educational and social needs and interests of the older adult population in our community.

These programs and services will support the spiritual, mental and physical needs and interests of older adult members of the parish community that emerge from their real life experiences.

Activities & Programs Include

• Day trips and excursions
• Educational workshops
• Religious activities
• Fine Arts events
• Community fellowship

The vision of the 55+ Ministry proposes to serve people with many different backgrounds, from many different communities, who are products of extraordinarily unique life experiences, and have very diverse needs and interests. This ministry embraces the view that the Church, the Body of Christ, must act in a proactive manner to support these adults who are 55 years of age and over.
