Baptism Coordinators

A Baptism Coordinator ensures that all participants and sacramental items are in the right place at the right time during the actual Baptism ceremony.

The volunteer facilitates the Baptism celebration from beginning to end working with the celebrants and greeters. The importance of this ministry lies in our properly handling the choreography, thereby allowing the presider to focus on the ceremony and people, and ensuring that the participants can focus on the sacramental meaning of the ceremony.

We facilitate the Baptism celebration from beginning to end, working with the celebrant and Baptism Greeters. We set up the altar for the sacrament, line up the families and godparents, assist the greeters with the oil, candles, and baptismal cloths, and then tidy up afterward.

Training is provided.

Time commitment: 2 hours, one per month
Meeting times: Sundays, 1:00 p.m.
