The Good Shepherd St. Vincent de Paul Society would appreciate your help in giving Thanksgiving dinners to a large number of families in our area. We are asking interested parishioners to bring food items (uncooked) to make a complete dinner for a family consisting of 4-15 members. There is no cooking or food preparation involved.
Suggested items for the Thanksgiving dinner are:
Frozen turkey (8–21 lbs.)
potatoes
boxed mashed potatoes/or sweet potatoes
dressing
green beans
cranberry sauce
rolls
dessert (frozen pumpkin pie), and any extra items are appreciated.
Date: Sunday, November 24, 2019
Time: 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Location: Rooms 28 & 29 (the entrance is to the left of the front door of the church, door #9)
Note: Due to limited freezer/refrigerator space, it is difficult to accept dinners before 11:30 a.m. Please provide food items, as noted above. This helps us with the collection and distribution of the dinners.
If you are unable to purchase a dinner, but would like to participate, you may provide a
check payable to Good Shepherd with a note “Thanksgiving Dinner.” We will then purchase the dinner for you.
The Good Shepherd St. Vincent de Paul members appreciate your generosity. When you celebrate Thanksgiving with your family, know you have provided for another family to do the same. What a great gift!
