We clean the sanctuary, chapel, and other worship areas in the church.
Decorating is done throughout the year to reflect changes in the liturgical calendar, as well as nature’s calendar. While many of the tasks are common, there is an uncommon feeling of joy that we share knowing that the Lord is glorified in our making the church beautiful for our many liturgical celebrations.
Members provide decorations for the altar, foyer, and church entryways. The accents are changed to reflect the various changes of the religious seasons.
Work during Christmas and Easter is more extensive. Many additional fresh flowers are used and have to be maintained; the Community Room also needs to be decorated. Extra volunteers are always appreciated during these seasons. Decorating is done in stages, but there are always tasks to be completed on December 23 or 24 and Holy Saturday.
