Does It Ever Get Better? Tips to get through the roughest days during the grief journey.
The post-holiday season can be especially challenging for those who have lost a loved one. The days are short, the sun struggles to come out, and the busyness of the holiday season is past. You may feel especially stuck this time of year, wondering if you will ever feel better again. The grief journey can be long and complicated, especially when you did not feel finished loving the person you lost.
PRESENTER Please join us for a presentation by Kathleen Canavan, a bereaved parent and sibling, and a member of our Bereavement Ministry. She will share some tips to get through the roughest of days, and how to work toward more purposeful ways to manage your grief.
PRESENTATION
Her presentation will cover asking for, and getting, what you need from family, friends, and yourself, as well as the one you lost.
She will discuss how to take steps to move from purposeful distraction to purpose filled intentional choices to help you feel better while journeying through your grief.
The program will address caring for yourself, as well as finding purpose by caring for others.
We will also discuss how to be aware of your surroundings, so you capture and enjoy signs from your loved one.
