The St. Vincent de Paul Society is continuing its practice of providing a Thanksgiving dinner to our neighbors in need, BUT it is changing how dinners are provided. Interested parishioners are asked to provide either a frozen turkey (8-21 lbs.) or Kroger gift cards. Families can use the gift cards to purchase the dinner items that they prefer – no guessing what people might like!
COLLECTION
Date: Saturday, November 23, 2024 - Collection of turkeys and gift cards
Time: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: Door #9
Signs will be in the front of the building to direct you. Just like last year, a "drive-thru" will be set up at Door #9. There will be volunteers to receive your gift(s) without you needing to leave your car.
Due to limited freezer space, St. Vincent de Paul members cannot accept donations before 11:00 a.m. If possible, please place frozen turkeys in a cardboard box to help us with the collection and distribution of the frozen turkeys.
If you are unable to purchase a turkey or Kroger gift card, but would like to participate, you may provide a check payable to Good Shepherd with “Thanksgiving Dinner” on the memo line. We will then purchase a turkey or gift card for you.
This can only be done with the help of our parish. The St. Vincent de Paul members sincerely appreciate your generosity! When you celebrate Thanksgiving with your family, know that you have provided the same for a family in need.
